COMPREHENSIVE SELF-AWARENESS ASSESSMENT

An Extended Clinical Assessment & Individualized Treatment Planning Experience

Understand the Factors. Clarify the Concerns. Inform the Treatment.

Sometimes a standard therapy intake doesn’t provide enough time to fully understand the factors contributing to ongoing emotional, behavioral, or interpersonal concerns.

The Comprehensive Self-Awareness Assessment is an extended clinical evaluation designed to provide a more in-depth understanding of your current functioning. This structured assessment helps identify patterns, strengths, challenges, and treatment needs while supporting the development of an individualized treatment plan.

Whether you are beginning therapy, returning after previous treatment, or seeking greater clinical insight, this assessment provides a focused foundation for ongoing care.

Is This Assessment Right for You?

You may benefit from this service if you:

  • Feel emotionally “stuck” despite previous efforts to improve.
  • Want a more comprehensive assessment than a standard intake appointment.
  • Experience recurring emotional, behavioral, or interpersonal concerns.
  • Are seeking greater understanding before beginning ongoing therapy.
  • Want individualized treatment recommendations based on a thorough clinical evaluation.
  • Prefer a focused assessment completed in one extended appointment.

What Makes This Assessment Different?

Traditional therapy often begins with a 50–60 minute intake appointment and information is gathered over several weeks.

The Comprehensive Self-Awareness Assessment provides dedicated time to complete a structured clinical evaluation, allowing for a more detailed understanding of factors that may be contributing to current concerns.

This service is designed to improve treatment planning by identifying strengths, challenges, and areas requiring continued clinical attention.

Areas of Clinical Assessment

During the assessment, we explore:

Self-Awareness & Personal Insight

  • Identify patterns in thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and coping strategies.
  • Core Values Assessment
  • Examine personal values and identify areas where current functioning may be inconsistent with identified values.
  • Strengths & Protective Factors
  • Recognize personal strengths, resilience, support systems, and existing resources that can support treatment.

Challenges Assessment

  • Identify emotional, cognitive, behavioral, and environmental factors contributing to current concerns.
  • Self-Validation & External Validation
  • Explore how self-worth, approval-seeking, and self-perception may influence emotional well-being and decision-making.
  • Individualized Treatment Planning
  • Develop collaborative treatment goals and recommendations to guide ongoing care.

What You’ll Receive

  • At the conclusion of your assessment, you will receive:
  • Comprehensive Clinical Assessment
  • Personalized Clinical Summary
  • Core Values Assessment
  • Strengths & Protective Factors Summary

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this therapy?

No. This service is a comprehensive clinical assessment and treatment planning experience. While therapeutic discussion may occur as part of the evaluation, the primary purpose is assessment, clinical formulation, and individualized treatment planning.

Will I receive a diagnosis?

A diagnostic impression may be discussed when clinically appropriate. A diagnosis is made only when sufficient clinical information supports DSM-5-TR criteria and it is relevant to treatment planning.

Does this replace ongoing therapy?

No. The assessment is designed to inform treatment and is not a substitute for ongoing psychotherapy, crisis intervention, or emergency mental health services.

Is this covered by insurance?

This is a private-pay service. If appropriate, you may request a superbill to submit to your insurance carrier for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your individual plan.

How should I prepare?

You will receive intake paperwork and assessment forms before your appointment. Completing these documents in advance allows more time to focus on your clinical assessment during the session.
