Better Communication. Less Conflict. Children Out of the Middle.
You don’t have to agree on everything to co-parent effectively.
When communication breaks down, children can easily become caught between two adults who are trying to navigate different households, expectations, and emotions.
J Group Counseling Services LLC offers a structured Co-Parenting Education Class that provides practical tools for reducing conflict, improving communication, and keeping parenting decisions focused on the needs of the child.
Upcoming Classes
When: 1st & 4th Saturday of each month
Time: 9:00 AM
Format: Virtual via Zoom
Cost: $50
Certificate: Certificate of Completion provided
Who Should Attend?
This class is appropriate for parents who:
- Have been referred or required to complete co-parenting education
- Are navigating separation or divorce
- Experience frequent disagreements with a co-parent
- Struggle with communication or boundaries
- Parent across two different households
- Want to prevent children from becoming caught in adult conflict
- Want practical tools for creating a healthier co-parenting relationship

What You’ll Learn
Communicating Without Escalating the Conflict
Learn practical strategies for discussing parenting matters while reducing arguments, defensiveness, and unnecessary conflict.
Establishing Co-Parenting Boundaries
Understand the difference between your relationship with your co-parent and your responsibility to work together as parents.
Keeping Children Out of Adult Issues
Learn how children can become messengers, mediators, or emotional go-betweens-and how parents can interrupt those patterns.
Managing Conflict Between Two Households
Develop strategies for navigating differences in rules, routines, expectations, parenting styles, and household structures.
Making Child-Focused Decisions
Learn how to move the conversation away from “Who is right?” and toward “What does our child need?”
Responding Instead of Reacting
Recognize common triggers and learn ways to manage difficult interactions before they become bigger conflicts.
You Don’t Have to Like Each Other to Co-Parent Effectively.
Co-parenting isn’t about becoming best friends.
It isn’t about pretending the problems between you never happened.
And it doesn’t require agreeing on every decision.
It requires developing the skills to manage disagreements without making your child responsible for the conflict.
Certificate of Completion
Participants who successfully complete the class will receive a Certificate of Completion.
If you are attending because of a court order or referral from an attorney, probation officer, social services agency, or another organization, please verify that the class meets the specific requirements of your referring agency or jurisdiction before registering.
